Mr. Islam is currently working as a Partner in ACNABIN, Chartered Accountants. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh since 2009. He did his graduation in Business Management from University of Mysore, India in 1999.
In ACNABIN, being a tax partner, he has the responsibilities to look into and render taxation related advisory services to clients. He has vast experience in all areas of tax and general business consulting services. He has also expertise in advisory services on regulatory, business set-up and business outsourcing process. He is a member of Taxation and Corporate Laws Committee and Professional Development Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh.
Mr. Islam has significant experience for providing taxation and VAT advisory services to a large number of prominent foreign and local business houses. He has extensive experience in corporate affairs and business outsourcing services. He has advised across a variety of international companies on regulatory, tax and VAT matters in connection with their access to Bangladesh. He has also an in-depth knowledge of winding-up/closure of business process and legal structures thereof.
He has participated in many training programmes arranged by different organizations on accounting, auditing, taxation, VAT, Customs duty and Labor Act issues.
Mr. Islam’s major clients include H&M, Regus, BBC, PVH, Esprit, VF Asia, Debenhams, K-mart Australia, Levis, Cotton Group, Perry Ellis International, Varner AS, Camaieu International, Herma, Foster Wheeler, Marico Bangladesh, Eastern Bank, Mutual Trust Bank, IDLC, Arla Foods Bangladesh, ActionAid Bangladesh, etc.
